About Us

Uxbridge High School is a Foundation Specialist Technology status day school for girls and boys aged 11 to 18 years and enjoys an open green field site with easy access by public transport.

Our Aim

Our aim is to provide a warm and friendly environment in which young people can be happy and enjoy a purposeful and well-ordered programme of studies and experiences which are relevant to a rewarding adult life and employment.
The school continues to operate as a normal 11-18 comprehensive, offering a complete and full curriculum to all our students. Technology College status provides additional funding for the school. This funding is used to employ staff, both teaching and non-teaching, provide additional equipment and resources, and to support activities within the school and local community. We have developed positive links with our local community and support a range of projects relating to life long learning. Participants in our programmes range from 8 to 80 years of age. Examples of these are free adult education classes in ICT, the provision of equipment for local community centres and extended schools clubs for younger children.

Our Sixth Form College

The Sixth Form at Uxbridge High School has a strong reputation for being one of the most popular, high achieving and welcoming in the Uxbridge area. Many students choose to join from other institutions to take advantage of the high levels of support, wide range of courses and state-of-the-art facilities. Building on the school’s outstanding success at GCSE level, an extensive range of A Level courses is on offer including Maths/Use of Maths, English Literature, Media Studies, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Business Studies, Design Technology, Information Technology, History, Geography, RE, Modern Foreign Languages, Art, Music, Drama, Performance Studies, Psychology, Sociology, Government and Politics and Textiles. All students have the opportunity to supplement their main courses with additional A Levels in Citizenship and/or Extended Project. A wide range of Level 3 Vocational BTEC courses are also available including Business Studies, Engineering, Finance, Science and Sports.
